30 mL (2 tbsp.) tbsp. flour
250 mL (1 cup) cup maple syrup
450 g (1 oz) oz goat’s milk cheese
Directions
1Preheat the oven to 180˚C (350˚F).
2Using a whisk, combine all the ingredients until smooth.
3Pour the mixture into the pie crust. Bake for approximately 35 to 40 minutes. Garnish with ground cherries.
4Immerse yourself in gourmet culinary tradition with this sumptuous maple syrup and goat cheese tart. This bold yet harmonious combination evokes the sweet, earthy flavours of Canadian forests. With a crispy crust, creamy filling and the incomparable taste of maple syrup, this tart perfectly reflects Quebec tradition.
5Each bite is a celebration: a blend of sweet sweetness, savoury creaminess and perfect texture. Ideal for dessert after a hearty meal, to impress someone special, or simply to go with your morning coffee, this tart will take you on an unforgettable taste journey and awaken your senses.
6Make sure to use high-quality, pure maple syrup—it will make all the difference. A premium syrup adds a rich, authentic flavour that can’t be imitated.
7Goat cheese is the star in this dish. Use a fresh cheese and avoid overly salty varieties. A creamy goat cheese will give your tart a velvety texture.
8While optional, ground cherries add a touch of acidity that balances the sweetness of the maple syrup. If you don’t have any on hand, dried cranberries or currants will also do the trick.
9For a perfectly baked tart, start checking after 30 minutes. The surface should be slightly golden and the centre still slightly wobbly.
10For a true gourmet touch, serve this tart with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream. Cool ice cream or cream will provide a perfect contrast to the warm tart for a truly divine culinary experience.
