
Barbecued Asian-style tofu

1 package oz snow pea shoots (or other shoots)
60 mL (¼ cup) cup coriander
60 mL (¼ cup) cup diced red pepper
45 mL Tbsp tamari sauce
15 mL (1 tbsp.) tbsp Compliments olive oil
15 mL (1 tsp.) tsp toasted sesame oil
15 mL (1 tbsp.) tbsp rice vinegar
1 garlic clove
15 mL (1 tsp.) tsp freshly grated ginger
15 mL (1 tbsp.) tbsp Compliments Honey
1 package oz plain firm tofu
1 package oz snow pea shoots (or other shoots)
60 mL (¼ cup) cup coriander
60 mL (¼ cup) cup diced red pepper
45 mL Tbsp tamari sauce
15 mL (1 tbsp.) tbsp Compliments olive oil
15 mL (1 tsp.) tsp toasted sesame oil
15 mL (1 tbsp.) tbsp rice vinegar

1 package oz plain firm tofu
Directions
1Mix together the tamari sauce, olive oil, sesame oil, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and honey in a shallow dish. Cut tofu into four slices widthwise (for wide slices). Place tofu in marinade and coat well. Marinate in refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
2Preheat the grill to medium-high.
3Place tofu slices on pre-oiled barbecue grill. Cook about 5 minutes, turning halfway through cooking.
4Garnish with snow pea shoots, coriander, and diced red pepper, and serve with basmati rice.
5: Cut grilled tofu slices in cubes and serve as appetizers with sweet and sour sauce or egg roll sauce. Place a toothpick in each cube.
Tips

CHEF'S SECRET: You can marinate the tofu longer than the minimum time recommended. Just put it to marinate in the morning and then grill it in the evening for a quick supper.
