Concoct a Delicious Easter Menu

Easter is the perfect time to get together for a good meal. To mark this special day gourmet style, get inspired by one of our two flavourful themed menus.

Brunch Menu

There’s nothing like a good brunch to break from routine. Start the day off on the right foot with a chocolate-blueberry smoothie made with frozen fruit. You’ll love it!

As a main course, impress your little crowd with a caramelized leek quiche served with a roasted carrot and radish salad. These two Trois fois par jour spring recipes are a great way to enjoy seasonal veggies. Complete your meal by adding baskets of Au Pain Doré croissants and chocolatines, made from butter and top-quality ingredients.

Salade de carottes et de radis rôtis & croûtons de pois chiches croustillants

Finally, end your brunch on a lighter note with colourful fruit skewers. Not only do they look lovely, they also offer some healthy vitamins before everyone, young and old alike, bites into their chocolate bunny.

Sugar-Shack Inspired Meal

Easter is synonymous with spring… and sugar season!

Have your family join you for a meal inspired by some fond childhood sugaring off memories. Start off with a pea soup, a timeless classic, served with old-fashioned cretons spread onto a thick slice of Au Pain Doré country-style bread.

As a main course, opt for a ham breakfast casserole, a delicious, simple dish to be shared. Your meal would not be complete without a few slices of maple bacon and a small bowl of baked beans. And for the finishing touch: Be sure to place a bottle of maple syrup on the table, so maple lovers can add a drizzle of Quebec-made sweetness to their dish.

For dessert, who doesn’t love a slice of warm sugar pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream? A delicious, comforting classic!

You can serve both meals with a cold glass of Laiterie Chagnon Easter milk.Available in limited edition, this 3.8% whole milk made with natural ingredients offers rich, creamy chocolate and caramel flavours.

Set the Tone with the Right Decor

Set the Tone with the Right Decor

Keep the kids busy by having them create nice decorations for the occasion. Add a festive note with carrot streamers, silk paper flowers, and little baskets filled with colourful Easter eggs.

Make your own decorative eggs in just a few easy steps:

  • Wash your eggs under cold running water and dry them.
  • Using a large needle, pierce a hole into both ends of the egg.
  • Over a bowl, blow into one of the holes to get the yoke and egg white to fall into the rec
  • Gently rinse the eggshell under cold water and let it dry completely.
  • In a large, clear glass bowl, mix 1 tsp. white vinegar with ¼ tsp. food colouring.
  • Add ¾ cup cold water and, using a spoon, gently place your eggshells into the bowl.
  • Keep your eggshells submerged into the dye for 2 to 5 minutes (for brighter colours, leave them in longer).
  • Remove the eggshells using thongs. Let them dry completely on a cooling rack.

A Scavenger Hunt Like No Other

A Scavenger Hunt Like No Other

Children of all ages will love this new take on a classic. Rather than just hiding chocolate eggs, add a unique touch to your hunt:

  • Hide the pieces of a puzzle, which they have to complete to earn their treat
  • Play a game of charades and have them guess where their chocolate is hidden
  • Draw a map for them to use
  • Write secret messages for them to decode
  • Have them complete fitness challenges, such as “hop like a frog 10 times before getting the egg hidden behind the desk”

How Sweet it is!

Enjoy some finger-licking fun with the family making your very own chocolate. It’s so easy; you just need silicone moulds and good quality chocolate candy melts containing at least 32% cocoa.

How’s it done? First, melt the chocolate in a double boiler. Next, pour the melted chocolate into the moulds. Wait until the chocolate has completely set and unmould.

Take the opportunity to plan a blind taste test of your white, milk, and dark chocolate creations.

Have some leftover melted chocolate? Try making little chocolate nests or these puffed rice Easter eggs, a classic reinvented specifically for this special day.

Take Advantage of Technology

Just because you can’t visit your grandparents or extended family, doesn’t mean you can’t see them! There are a variety of free video-conferencing platforms you can use to connect safely with your loved ones. So while you won’t physically be in the same room as them, you’ll still feel like they’re right there next to you!

Happy Easter!
